Smart City

Living Labs

A living lab is often used to drive innovation in products and services, especially when both social and location based aspects are important. This is especially the case for Smart Cities, where the local and social contexts varies from city to city. I.e. while congestion and lack of parking spaces might be the primary issue in one city, others are more concerned about optimizing trash collection in a scarcely populated area. The core strength of living labs is that they allow users to prototype, validate and refine solutions in an evolving real-life context. Thereby, companies, researchers and students are able to fail or succeed fast and quickly build on those experiences.

Smart Campus is a living lab, but we also see a lot of other living labs in the Smart City area in Denmark. Below you will find a list of links to some of the most interesting ones across the country.
